Sunny Fit collects the following data to provide its core functionality:
- Name — Used for your in-app profile display.
- Health data — Steps, active energy (calories), heart rate, exercise time, body mass, walking/running distance, sleep analysis, and VO2 max, read from Apple HealthKit.
- Fitness data — Workout tracking information you create within the app.
- Profile image — An optional photo you upload for your profile.
❤ Apple HealthKit Usage
Sunny Fit integrates with Apple HealthKit to support challenge progress and fitness tracking. The app:
- Reads: Steps, Active Energy Burned, Heart Rate, Exercise Time, Body Mass, Walking + Running Distance, Sleep Analysis, and VO2 Max.
- Writes: Weight (body mass) data.
HealthKit data is used solely for challenge progress tracking and fitness features within the app. This data is never used for advertising, marketing, or any purpose unrelated to your health and fitness experience in Sunny Fit.
🗃 How Your Data Is Stored
Your data is linked to an anonymous account created through Firebase Anonymous Authentication. We store your information using:
- Firebase Firestore — Stores profile information, fitness data, and challenge progress.
- Firebase Storage — Stores profile images.
🛡 Third-Party Sharing
Sunny Fit does not include any third-party tracking, analytics, or advertising SDKs. Your data is not sold, shared with, or disclosed to any third parties.
🗑 Data Deletion
You can delete all of your data at any time by signing out from the Profile tab within the app. Signing out removes your anonymous account and all associated data from our servers.
